Selling Earthen Pots and Pitchers for Living

Banjara market in the heart of the city “Gurgaon” was my biggest attraction to take few photos and know these people.

Banjara market people in Gurgaon

They’re nomads from the neighborhood state Rajasthan. They mostly sell earthen pots and home decor for their living.

They don’t live in ideal conditions of the civilization, as they don’t have access to basic amenities like electricity and water. It is surprising to see, because the opposite side of the road has tall buildings and apartments that the millenium city boasts about!

They live in small make shift homes, called jhuggi. Cooking, bathing, sleeping — they are bound to do on the roadside!

Any thoughts?
